Naiad is a subtle gradation of blues enlivened by a mix of green, blue-green and silver yarns. It is woven in a pointed twill variation with a sett of 24 EPI. The warp is approximately 75% Egyptian cotton/25% cotton. The weft for this wrap is a hand-dyed lace weight superfine merino/silk yarn. It is quite soft with nice stretch and just a touch thicker than the other merino/silk yarn I use. The colors of the weft blend a brilliant turquoise with glazes of marine blue and sapphire blue. In combination with the warp, this variation in shading creates an effect like ripples across the surface of a deep pool of water.
