wonder woven LLC is a weaving studio in Santa Monica, CA focused on crafting beautiful and comfortable wraps for wearing your baby or toddler. It is the creative endeavor of Tracy Desrosiers Bromwich, a liscensed architect and mother of 3.
I received my Masters in Architecture from the Yale School of Architecture in 2003. After working for Marmol Radziner + Associates in Los Angeles, CA and earning my license to practice architecture, in 2007 my professional ambitions were eclipsed by the birth of my first child, Sophia. As a new parent I quickly learned the benefits of babywearing - and fell in love with wrapping in particular. I discovered it was the perfect way to meet my daughter's needs while accomplishing the tasks required of me. We had many great adventures together! It proved invaluable with the addition of Nora in 2009 and then Isaac in 2011. Wrapping has become for me one of the most pleasurable aspects of parenthood.
While caring for my children full-time I have relied on crafting to fill my need to be productive and to create something tangible. Along the way I discovered a love for knitting, sewing and all things related to fiber. When my youngest turned 2 in 2013, I fulfilled a long-held dream of learning how to weave. In weaving I have found a craft perfectly suited to my nature. How calming it is to face the potential chaos of thousands of yards of thread and focus it into a coherent structure! I love to experiment with color, fiber and weave. I am new to weaving but I know well what makes a comfortable piece of cloth for wearing a child. I am so excited to be able to combine these two passions of mine. I hope you will join me on this new adventure!
